RESEARCH FOR BUSINESS |
Undeniably rich in terms of publications and events both in France and on an international level, research at EDHEC centres around "Research for Business" and gives rise to products, concepts and processes created for, bought by and used in business.
Noël Amenc, Associate Dean for Research Development: "We have to ensure that our management research corresponds to the needs of the corporate world. That may seem obvious, but it is in fact a revolution because up till now, any research carried out has only been evaluated by academics and disseminated primarily to other scholars. In the past, research subjects and themes were based on a publication strategy rather than on a social and beneficial requirement. EDHEC's strategy is to break away from this acadmeci vision of research to privilege and approach where business and society are the heart of the researcher's concerns".
Innovative Research Policy
Driven by the international fame of its Risk & Asset Management Research Centre, EDHEC is today one of the leading business schools in applied management research. This can be seen in the wealth of publications, scientific papers and research findings produced for the industry. The business world is central to EDHEC's research and because it gives rise to products, concepts and processes that are designed for businessses, bought by businesses and actually used by businesses to boost their current practices, it really is "Research for Business". This innovative research strategy makes EDHEC Business School the European academic institution with the greatest influence on the market in certain areas considered relevant to the business world.
EDHEC Business School has chosen to configure its research efforts around five research centres in the fileds of Economics, Accounting & Financial Analysis, Risk & Asset Management, Cultural Approaches to Consumer Behavior & Strategic Marketing, and Law.
A Unique Source of Course Materials
EDHEC's research findings are shared with students by integrating them in the MSc courses. This allows EDHEC's partners to benefit twice from the School's expertise; once from the findings themselves and again from the favoured recruitment of students. Futhermore, EDHEC's research has not only resulted in the development of new products but has also led to new courses and programmes, such as the MSc in Risk & Asset Management.
