Alumni Network Provides Job Opportunities

The EDHEC Alumni Association was founded 60 years ago, in 1947. Today it brings together 18,000 alumni, who are dispersed throughout 103 countries worldwide, from France to Australia, and from Afghanistan to Zimbabwe.

In addition to the services of the EDHEC Career Centre (with a database of over 17,000 job offers) the Alumni Association proves valuable help for EDHEC students who are looking for an internship during their studies or a management position after graduation. The alumni directory provides up-to-date contact information, including the name of the company that the alumnus works for, and the position he or she holds. The possibility of contacting people in a company a student would like to work for, provides the perfect opportunity to make a first contact.

There are 11 professional and personal network clubs in the EDHEC Alumni association, such as M&A Creators and the Business and Technology club. In addition, there are 8 regional clubs, and 20 international clubs, bringing EDHEC alumni together in cosmopolitan cities such as Tokyo and Milan. All the different clubs regularly organize conferences on current topics in different fields of business. To keep its alumni updated with fresh information on various subjects, the Alumni Association is developing a new learning system with periodical refresher courses for its alumni. To inform students about the numerous activities of the EDHEC Alumni association, there is a newsletter issued 5 times a year both in English and French. On a more regular basis, there is an electronic newsletter which is distributed weekly to EDHEC students and alumni all over the world.

The Alumni association stays in close contact with current EDHEC students by inviting them to participate in the Alumni Board. Two presidents of EDHEC student associations and two student representatives sit on the 17-member board. The Alumni Board members meet annually and are currently working on a project that aims to increase international status of the EDHEC alumni association.

Currently, more than half of the alumni are based in Paris and the Paris region. The second city hosting the most EDHEC alumni is London with up to 3,000 EDHEC graduates. The newly developed Intercontinental Track programme allows the Master in Management students to spend one term in North America and one in Asia. For these students, EDHEC has planned numerous events with the EDHEC alumni in New York and Shanghai, the next two cities with the most EDHEC alumni.
