EDHEC's Master in Science programmes don't just offer students academic knowledge, they also give them the tools to be directly operational when they enter the business world. The programmes are designed in a way that enables students both to learn the theoretical aspects of their chosen profession and also to use this knowledge in a productive way.   

If meeting the needs of the business world is the goal of all EDHEC programmes, the Masters of Science in Finance and Risk and Asset Management has taken this idea even further by actually preparing their participants for major international professional certifications such as the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) and the CAIA (Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst).  

For the past two years, EDHEC has been the exclusive provider of preparatory courses in Europe for the CAIA exams and for which EDHEC graduate students & alumni enjoy a 40% discount. The CAIA association gave EDHEC this privilege based on the school's excellent reputation within the European alternative investment community. EDHEC has already trained professionals from over 100 leading institutions across Europe with impressive results. While pass-rates according to the CAIA Association are less than 66% for the Level 2, professionals attending the EDHEC review courses achieve 90% success.

As more and more recruiters demand internationally-recognized professional certifications, EDHEC has taken the initiative to include the preparation of such exams in its course contents. This year more than a dozen students decided to take the official Finance exams, mostly the first levels of CFA and CAIA, while a few others registered for levels 2 and 3 of the CFA.  

The MSc in Finance programme covers about 40% of the material included in the first level of the CAIA. The MSc in Risk and Asset Management programme covers about 60% of the material included in the CAIA level 1 and offers good preparation for the next levels of the CFA exams. Students participating in these two programmes can further increase their chances of success in the exams through accessing the material designed by EDHEC for CAIA exam review seminars.
